1942 First Strike is a solid edition to the classic shooter series, though it doesn’t heat up as hot as its legendary predecessors. Grab one of three planes and shoot as many planes as possible. There are three different types of primary weapons here, too, including a rocket and a wide bullet gun, as well as two screen clearers for when things get too hectic. The challenge here is that the insane boiling point myself and other hardcore arcade jockeys are accustomed to never really happens. 1942 First Strike is fun.
